At Lapworth we passed the Navigation Pub which changed ownership last year and is now a very nice place to eat and has a lovely outside area backing onto the canal for the summer months.
A little nearer the Junction I spotted Nb Kernewel who had been moored next to us yesterday and to whom I had spoken when he left last night. The boat has a lovely Russell Newbery Engine and although it is a thumper its sound was just amazing. It was just like gentle music not the harsh thump of some other engines. No wonder they are called the Rolls Royce of boat engines.
As we neared the Tom we passed this cute little boat with no name.
I moored up and went aboard Nb. Autumn Years for coffee a cake and a short while later June arrived by car courtesy of her brother and sister in law driving her back.
Later we went across to the Tom for an excellent meal all home cooked on the premises.
