Friday 21st September

Friday 21st September

Left the mooring and dropped down the lock into the basin to fill up with water. Chance followed us down and then we headed for the Staircase Locks down to the river.

* LimeKiln Chandlers

* Cruisers Moored in the Basin

* River Entrance to the Canal
Reached the River Severn by 9.30 and headed down river to towards the Droitwich Canal when we were able to open the throttle and give the engines a good blast to clear them after the canal chugging.

* James, Doug, & Adam on river.

* Chance Speeding down the river

* June and Doug Locking
 Again the River Severn has some lovely scenery and some nice properties along its banks.

* Nice River Cottage
Reached the entrance to the Droitwich canal in no time and negotiated the tight turn into the canal mouth and its first lock.

* James leaving the 1st lock
The Barge Canal is very narrow and reed lined for most of the 6 miles to the Droitwich Basin and at times you wonder where the channel goes.

* Where is the Channel.
Soon reached the basin and moored up on the pontoons. The boys went off to find a restaurant for the evening whilst June and I chilled out.
