Short Trip - Wednesday 6th May

The forecast for today was for high winds and heavy rain but there was an early morning window of good weather so we were up and off and moved the one and half miles down to the visitor moorings at the Fox and Anchor.

Just before bridge 72 we passed this nice house with its own mooring but the garden seats attracted my eye being made from a cart wheel and barrels.

Once moored up I took Ecco for a walk into Coven to get the paper and a few odd things and as I returned to the boat the forecast heavy rain and winds came. We stayed nice and dry in the boat and watched the intrepid sailors go by. It eased at lunch time so we nipped into the Pub for lunch and had a very nice meal. We got chatting to a chap on the next table who went to University with MP David Blunket and found that he knew a lot of people June knew at home through his job as an account. Spent the rest of the afternoon doing our hobbies.
